From a picture of my grandmother, my mother and I when I was born I did 8 photograms of ceramic and a video art with them to reflect about the memory transferred through generations.

Under the photograms there are small letters made in ceramic with the phrase "Ella era así por su sufrimiento y yo había heredado su dolor" (ENG/ She was like that for her suffering and I was inherited her pain) said by my mother when she talked about her grandmother.

Maternal inheritance seemed relevant to me from a biological perspective, since the formation of the ova occurs while still in the mother's womb, establishing a biological connection between grandmother, mother, and daughter. With this work, I seek to reflect on the inheritance of experiences through biology, on inheriting the memories of what a mother or grandmother suffered by sharing her genes, which leads to inheriting her patterns, represented through the sequence of plaques. And on the other hand, on how this transfer of personal memories becomes distorted from generation to generation. In this way, I thought that these plaques, as they become deformed, would be a kind of sequence of memory transfer; the originality of the events is distorted as they are recounted. Therefore, the plaques present these deformed figures because they obey the aesthetics of memories and thoughts where forms are not so concrete.
